I. INTRODUCING BENEFIT PLANS
1. Communication of current plans and how they work (new employee
enrollment packets)
2. Timeliness of adding new employees (risks involved in not getting
employees enrolled) - Techniques used in assuring employees are
properly enrolled or waived.
3. Administrative procedures in adding new employees- documentation
with the particular insurance company, HMO or financial institution.
4. Documenting prior coverage under a new health plan- certificates
of credible coverage, prior individual coverage etc., etc.
5. Open enrollments - HIPAA (30 day period prior to anniversary)
II. MAINTAINING / SERVICING EXISTING EMPLOYEES & PLANS
1. Cost questions / benefit questions (resolved direct with employee).
2. Claims questions or problems (insurance company and Clark Benefit
Group).
3. Adding late employees and dependents after their initial / timely
enrollment period has expired (special enrollees / late enrollees).
4. Implementing changes for existing employees - Adding new eligible
dependents, deleting dependents, beneficiary change, etc.
5. Billing questions - grace periods, credits, etc., etc.
6. Summary plan descriptions- a requirement of ERISA.
7. Annual announcements to employees- open enrollment, pre-tax changes.

1. State conversion / continuation

3. Certificates of credible coverage - HIPAA (certificate issued
